The Return of the Ghostbusters

Via Mike I learned about an independent fan film entitled, “Return of the Ghostbusters.”

I’m not a big fan of fan films. Most have cheesy over-acting, bad special effects, and a horrible (or incomprehensible) plot.

However, Return of the Ghostbusters really surprised me as far as the quality of the movie. The acting was okay, there was a cute girl in there, and the special effects weren’t too bad.

I never really was a big Ghostbusters fan, but watching this movie brought back some childhood memories of when I watched the cartoon series.

I only expected to just watch a few minutes and turn it off, but I stayed for the whole eighty or so minutes because the plot intrigued me. And the ending is hilarious as well (I guess you’ll have to watch to find out).

So if you have an hour and a half to spare, give Return of the Ghostbusters a try.

  1. Dude is crazy a movie is never worth watching if they do not have the original characters! They need to bring back the old ghostbusters and make a third movie and that will be worth watching!

  2. Unfortunately I don’t have a spare hour or two but I would love to watch the movie, especially if it’s as good as you say it is. I enjoyed the original ghost busters (maybe the theme song most) and would like to see a newer retry at the flick.

  3. Are you kidding me this movie sucked balls, not just any balls big “Jack and the Bean Stalk”, giant balls. The acting was horrible, the special effect were mediocre at best. Over all it not worth it compared to the original. Trashy fan films with bad acting don’t interest me. For God sakes get some people who can actually act an line, and make you believe they are in fact the real Ghostbusters.
