My Credentials

I write for myself, others, and my job. Below you’ll find some of my educational experience, as well as some technical details about me. This page should be not be confused with my résumé.

Degrees and Awards

  • I have a Master of Science in Business Administration degree from Texas A&M.
  • I have a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology from Devry Phoenix.
  • I received Time’s Person of the Year (2006).

Website Knowledge

I have been working on websites since I was 14 years old (for over ten years). I have recently fully embraced web standards. I do website design primarily as a hobby.

Writing Experience

Other than writing for this blog, I have no formal training in writing and literature. I had several English courses in college, but that was the extent of my training. My writing ability is mostly self taught since most English courses emphasize what “not to do” rather than how to write effectively. I would love to write articles, stories, and editorials for others if given the opportunity.

I have written articles for several blogs including:

  • Devlounge

This is a blog resource for designers and developers. I am no longer an active contributor. I wrote reviews, script tutorials, opinionated pieces, and latest news articles.

  • Weblog Tools Collection

I have contributed several articles that were published on the WLTC website.

  • The Reader Appreciation Project

I helped found the RA Project. I am no longer an active contributor.

If you would like me to write for you or would like me to write a sample article, please contact me personally.

Web Scripts

I have written several scripts for WordPress community.

Programming Experience

My primary strength is developing websites and scripts based on strict XHTML. I’m fluent in PHP, JavaScript (including jQuery), MySQL, and CSS.

Web Developer and Programmer
Writer and software engineer Ronald Huereca has been a developer at notable agencies like iThemes and 10up. He spends quite a bit of his time volunteering with the WordPress project as a core and polyglot contributor. With all of his passions, writing has been the way Ronald expresses himself best. He has written both technical books as well as fiction. Some of his works include Project Mayhem, Mindefusement, and WordPress and Ajax. “You can only delay the inevitable” is his favorite quote. Ronald enjoys reading Stephen King and John Grisham. When he’s not writing, Ronald dreams of building websites filled with cats yawning, disclaimers his strong opinions, sings karaoke, and advocates for empathy surrounding mental health.
