Weekend Survey – What Do You Do to De-Stress?
Everyone has their own method of relieving stress. Whether it’s reading a book, biking, running, drinking, going for a walk, smoking, or something else, what do you do to relieve the stress in your life?

Hmm, I suppose I would need to be stressed before de-stressing, right?
I usually do something that takes my complete focus to "let off some steam". Sometimes that is playing computer (firing up Day of Defeat or wrecking havoc on my computer opponent in a real time strategy game). Or there is the golden oldie, reading a book; it can't be a serious, thinking book though. It takes a fiction story that draws me far enough into the story in order to ignore the outside world. Exercise is good, too.

I love a good book too. Like you, cetroyer, it has to be fictional. I also love running. It's a great way to blow off some steam.

I go skating. It is always relaxing. Besides, if you lose balance and fall, you suddenly forget about all the stress

I usually make a couple extra long trips to the gym, which certainly makes me feel better. The thing that really relieves any stress for me is being able to spend a good amount of time with my wife. We see each other far too little during the week and the weekend is a good time for us to do things together.

I play soccer or something else that will wear me out on my first day/night off from work (this weekend it was paintball). Other than that my two other days off are usually spent running errands, reading, time with friends, attempting to play guitar, Bible study, etc.
Above all else I try not to think about work.

Emily,
If I "attempted" to play guitar, I think that would stress me out more. Although playing Guitar Hero is pretty fun
