I had no idea it could be this easy. Now I’ve setup my laptop to dock with my HDTV and it works very well.
I use a docking station with a lot of USB ports and a DVI connection.

I agree with all of your points. Personally I still use a regular laptop which is great when moving from one location to another but not as great for my neck. Therefore I’ve been thinking about getting a monitor and a docking station. Feels like a jungle though and every retailer tells me he got the best stuff :/
