Sometimes I forget I'm a pessimist. You're right. God didn't ignore my prayer. He probably responded with something like, "I don't think so. I know what's best for you, and that is <em>not</em> it." As a fellow Christian, I take an optimistic look at how God responds to our prayers. Instead of thinking about it as God didn't answer my prayer, i believe he did in fact answer, but he just said "No." or "Not right now" looking out for our best interests.
