Ajax Edit Comments 2.0 Released

Posted by Ronald Huereca

This past month or so I’ve been hard at work on a new release of Ajax Edit Comments.

Ajax Edit Comments is a plugin for WordPress 2.5, and it allows you and your readers to edit comments rather easily from a post.

The workflow for commenters before AEC consisted of the following:

  1. Leave typo-ridden comment.
  2. Scream to the heavens.
  3. E-mail admin requesting deletion or change.
  4. More screams to the heavens.
  5. Even more screams. God is on the verge of sending fire and brimstone.
  6. ?
  7. Profit!

The workflow after AEC:

  1. Leave typo-ridden comment.
  2. Smack keyboard and kick cat.
  3. Edit the comment using AEC.
  4. ?
  5. Profit! (without heavenly curses and the threat of fire and brimstone)

Both work to the same end, but you get the picture!

As admin, you can also edit, delete, and spam comments to your heart’s content. It’s so easy, even a WordPress admin can do it!

Anyways, enough talk. If you’re a WordPress 2.5 user, go give Ajax Edit Comments a try.

PS: For those naysayers out there that say Ajax Edit Comments ruins themes, tell them to try 2.0 because the new editor interface is completely theme independent.
