It’s Peeve Week 2 Time!
You have all voted on the topics, and now the time has come for the official topics for Peeve Week 2.
Here are the Peeve Week 2 topics for the week of June 11th through the 15th.
- Monday June 11th – Culture/Relationships.
Have a cultural or relationship peeve? Let us know all about it.
- Tuesday June 12th – Misconceptions.
Are you misunderstood? Are you confused by others’ behavior? Do you think people just have it all wrong? Then this category is for you.
- Wednesday June 13th – Work.
A category that is sure to get us all fired. Talk about cubical farms, speakerphones, nail clipping, and other workplace annoyances.
- Thursday June 14th -Internet.
Have an Internet rant? Hate MySpace? Talk about anything Internet related here.
- Friday June 15th – Stereotypes.

Want to Contribute? (Ron begging earnestly)
The last Peeve Week was a tremendous success because people like you wrote in their own peeves. The diversity of the writing and peeves is what made the week so awesome. My goal is to have twenty guest-contributed entries. It is a very ambitious goal, but with your help, it is achievable. If you are interested, please keep on reading.
How to Contribute
Pick a day and a time (see posting schedule below) and give me an e-mail at ron@ronalfy.com (or leave a comment) of your intention to contribute. I will update the posting schedule (see below) with your pledge (and a groovy link to your site) and anxiously await your contribution. You can also contribute multiple times, but I do limit you to one contribution per day. If all slots are filled (I can dream can’t I?), you are still welcome to write your post on your own blog and I’ll link to it at the conclusion of Peeve Week.
Here are three ways to contribute:
- You may write the post on your own site before Peeve Week, but I ask that you not mention anything about Peeve Week in your contribution. You also give me permission to take your post and format it to fit my site and add any necessary imagery that I see fit.
- You may write your post and e-mail it (ron@ronalfy.com) to me. Doing so gives me permission to use your post on my site.
- You may register as a user and use my WordPress dashboard to write your post. I will publish the post for you after ensuring the formatting and imagery.
The deadline for all contributions is June 8th, 2007 at 11:59pm (EST).
Incentives for Participating
- A new audience reading your stuff.
- A few links back to your site.
- Being able to read what everyone else wrote (this is what makes Peeve Week fun).
- Have a customized by-line at the end of every post you contribute.
Oh, and did I mention two contributors will be selected to win a $25 dollar (USD) Amazon.com gift certificate? I will announce details closer to the contribution deadline.

ronald I have a peeve… That girls face on your article.. Man for some reason she drives me crazy!!!
I’ll change the image if you pick a slot
Ronald, I’m a bit confused with these time slots. Does it actually matter for me, personally, which time slot I pick? Wouldn’t you be pre-publishing the articles at the set slot? Say, the slot for 0600 – does it mean that I have to be up at 6am, or what?

Let me clarify. The deadline for submitting posts is June 8th at 11:59 EST. I will set the post you submit for publishing on the day and time slot of your choice depending on what topic you decide to write for. You don’t have any obligations to be up or anything. It is just the time I will publicly publish the post.
Thanks for the clarifications, Ronald. In such a case, I’ll email you my topics/time slots by this weekend.
To get started, I am in for “Internet”, Thursday, for 2 pm CST. I am sure I can participate on more than one day, though I will update you on that later as time passes [and as I figure out what times will be convenient for me]. I hope you don’t mind if I comment more than once on this post to update you if I want to pick another day or topic also.
