I agree, for the most part, on your opinion of the situation. Just from my experience in interacting with the people in Iraq; I have doubts about a Democratic government succeeding there. I was there during the elections, and it's hard to believe that it was in any way a fair election. It is hard to understand if you don't have any idea of how complicated the situation on the ground is(not saying that you don't know). The amount of corruption in all aspects of government and security is incredibly disturbing. In the end though, I believe 100 percent in our involvement there and that we should continue to stay. Both times I returned; countless American people thanked me for serving my country. Truthfully, I never looked at it as serving my "country", but more as promoting and defending the idea of FREEDOM, and I would volunteer to go back 100 more times and even give my life in an attempt to give the Iraqi and Afghani people that basic human right. However, let this "war" be waged in such a way that the U. S. military can achieve victory as soon as possible and all supplies and weapons systems are provided to them so that they can do the job. My heart goes out to all the brave families of these great American soldiers and the sacrifices that they have endured. Thanks to all these soldiers and their supporting families. We appreciate you!!
